What is Bluesnarfing

Everyone knows what is bluetooth. It is a wireless communication frequency that allows 2 devices to communicate with each other. Not long after bluetooth was invented, bluejacking was born. Bluejacking is the sending of unsolicited messages from one mobile phone to another via bluetooth. This serves mainly as a fun activity and carries no harm.
But like all good things, there is a flip side to the coin. Soon people were bluesnarfing. Bluesnafing is the gaining of access to the material phone of a person without the person's permission. Bluesnafing can be done in 2 ways. The first is gaining access to the mobile phone without ever being paired to the phone before. This is usually done on a stranger's phone.
The second method is to gain access to a phone that has been previously paired to before. Certain softwares can then be used to trick the mobile phone on the victim's end to believe that the paring is permanent.

As We can see logically, the first method is technically much more difficult and bluesnarfing this was is only left to the experts. The second method can be easily done with the aid of softwares.

That is essence, is what bluesnarfing is all about.
